"OFF THE HOOK" a Comedy
Feature Film
Synopsis:
Two famous rock stars find that they have come to the
end of their road, and are cast back into society with
virtually no skills other than being rich famous musicians
who love to fish. Their lifestyle degrades to the point
where they are relegated to fishing gaffer's and disgusting
bait preparation laborers ceaselessly broke, desperate and
unappreciated. Having finally reached the bottom and taken
leave of their senses, they decide to parlay their only two
skills - musicianship and fishing - into a TV show. Soon,
luck walks through the door and their idea begins to take
shape with a cast of characters, lunatics and beautiful
bikini clad babes. Setting off in the warm tropical Florida
waters the cast and crew seek to create their new fortune
and glory only to find that nothing is as easy as it used to
be, but our heroes still have a few tricks up their sleeves
and don't know the word quit.
Overview:
Off the Hook is a full-length feature film comedy
starring Kenny Lee Lewis and Billy Peterson, both lifetime
professional entertainers currently touring with the
world-famous Steve Miller band for over 20 years. Along with
the endlessly comical Kenny Lee and Billy, will be a host of
appearances from a very notable and recognizable list of
music and screen entertainers. The project was originally
conceived as a TV fishing show hosted by Kenny Lee and Billy
with a few notable entertainers joining them for a new
fishing excursion every week. But as a result of scheduling
and touring factors the project soon morphed into a feature
film project directed by Ric Johnson - produced on location
along the Central Florida coastline. The film promises to
deliver a highly memorable, consistently humorous storyline
with absurdly original action sequences set in warm tropical
locations with an incredible soundtrack for the ages. A
highly experienced and comedically seasoned cast mixed with
regional professionals and notable famous entertainers
popping in for cameo roles. The nonstop laughs build into an
incredible climax that will be talked about for years and
years. OFF THE HOOK is destined to become a comedy cult
classic and is scheduled to be released in late 2009 with an
anticipated R rating.
